Have you ever felt like some mysterious force is trying to squeeze your whole head to half its size? For the past twenty-four hours, that's how my head has been feeling like. With the addition of screaming twinges from the ear. It has happened before for short periods of time since the operation, but this is the first time it's been ongoing non-stop. I've been killing it with Excedrin Migraine: 250mg of acetaminophen and 250mg of aspirin. Works pretty okay.

Juli slept over my apartment last night. We slept in the early hours of the morning. I actually fell asleep in the middle of an sms conversation with Tariq. I was so sleepy. Juli was already asleep by then.

Despite the early hours, Juli woke up unreasonably early. She entertained herself with a romance novel, thankfully. I stayed asleep to a slightly more decent hour.

Later we went all the way to her house in Rawang! I drove. It was fun. Her area is creepy. I started singing that song Belle sings in Walt Disney's Beauty and the Beast. You know: "Little town/Full of little people/Every day/Like the one before..." We had lunch at her club. Should a lamb chop have bones? I can't remember. At least they did follow instructions and it was medium, not rare or well-done. We wanted to play pool/snooker but the tables were all occupied. We walked around the club. They got cheap bowling. We should all visit Juli when we want to go bowling.

After that we drove around, killing time, just gossiping. I am amazed at the amount of just plain old talking that Juli and I can do.

We went to Bangsar. Juli bought me spaghetti carbonara from San Francisco Coffee. Wonderful Juli. Good carbonara. We went to the Grey to try on tank tops but we didn't get anything. I got very sleepy since I didn't sleep very well last night, what with the pounding head. Left Juli to be picked up by her brother and went home for dinner. Had chicken and rice.

Conked out in Tina's room. Got disturbed by stupid maid and ridiculous nephew. Was completely incoherent and went right back to sleep. Woke up to Tariq's sms. Talked to Tariq for a bit. Was still not very coherent. Babang asked me why I not help maid bla-bla-bla and I was like "Huh?" and carried on talking to Tariq. Well, it was more like "I miss you. I Love you. Tired. Love you. Cranky. Miss you. So tired. What you doing? I Love you. It's so hot and humid right now. I miss you." As you can see, it wasn't very enlightening conversation. Kak Mi gave me lasagna to take back to the apartment for a lunch. Yay. Free food.

I fed the kitten and went back to the apartment. I meant to take the black ink for the printer. But I forgot it. Damn. I think I'm missing out stuff in my story today, but my head hurts. My ear hurts. Actually, my head doesn't hurt. It just feels very very pressured. My ear hurts though.

I miss my mommy. Adik told me this morning before Juli and I went to sleep that Mommy bought her knee-high boots. I'm jealous. I like knee-high boots. I'm going to see if I can borrow from Adik. Haha. But I have decided that I don't want boots. I want a good digital camera. And permission to charge my kitten food and printer ink to my credit card. And permission to buy a self-improvement book every month. Sigh.

I'm whiny tonight.

Juli and I just got back from San Francisco Coffee at Bangsar. Haha. We sat there and gossipped and yakked for hours.

I went to Dr. Gomez in the morning. He checked my graft and he said it's doing very very well, and then he called in all his assistants to see my ear, and there they were, five to six people poking and prodding at my ear with various horrible bedside manners. I demanded pay for being an educational tool, but Dr. Gomez didn't pay attention to me. He just ordered another bloody butt-jab for me. Gave me new antibiotics and anti-histamines. Sigh.

After that I went home and did aerobics. Had mild adventure because the tv wouldn't turn on, so had to use the computer to play my aerobics VCD. Showered in parents' bathroom and came out just in time to head for Nina's house to meet Nina, Yu San, and Fabian. Then we all headed for Tan's house.

We had Burger King for lunch and we played Cashflow. History in the making: I was a doctor. That means I started with total expenses of over $9000. I got two children, which meant my expenses went over $11,000. For the first time, I got out of the ratrace (gained a passive income exceeding my total expenses) as a doctor! And I had TWO children! I am very proud of myself for my accomplishment. Yu San won again.

We finished around six-ish. I sent Nina home and picked up Juli. We went to Mega Mall for dinner because I had to pick up catfood from Carrefour. I forgot to tell people yesterday, being so impressed by the book which everyone should read.

I want the BMW 3-Series!! They were showing off the car at Mega Mall. It is so cute and gorgeous and beautiful! Wargh! Of course it's whole monthly payment is already more than any starting salary I'd get after graduating from college.... sigh.

Now Juli and I are going to hang out and do the slumber party thing, just the two of us, because nobody else could join. Evil people....

I miss Tariq. Juli is counting how many times I've said it in her presence. This one is the twentieth :)

Today's Very Important Instructions: Read Successful Women, Angry Men by Bebe Moore Campbell.

It is an amazing book. I recommend it to any woman who has or is planning to have a job/career and the men who are married to or are plannning to marry such women. It is an eye-opener. It is required textbook to dual-income couples!

I read it in MPH at Mega Mall, while hanging out there with Juli and TJ. Took me a mere two hours, but what two worthwhile hours they were! Man, what a book. I wanna buy the book.

Other than that, there was nothing of much importance today, I think. Ate dinner with Kak Lina. It was good to chit-chat with Kak Lina. Don't talk to family members one-on-one a lot. Babang wouldn't let me kiss him, and Kak Mi went to sleep early so I didn't get my allowance tonight. Argh. Broke. Need money.

I'm beginning to think that Sidji will never stop biting.

Another boring day today. I actually did work. Got another marketing presentation on Tuesday.

Had sushi from Carrefour for lunch. Very cheap and nice. No sitting place however.

Got jabbed in the butt by evil Dr. Gomez's assistants.

Did aerobics. Sweated like pig. I always sweat like pig doing aerobics. But did it very well, with that hundred and ten percent Denise (the aerobics instructor) kept yapping about. Am definitely mastering the video.

Trying to connect to ICQ right now, but the damned thing keeps rejecting me. Very frustrating. Am supposed to work some more, but am hating the idea.

Today was very boring.

Went to Dr. Gomez after classes. My ear got infected. So I'm going again to see him tomorrow for another butt-jab. And yes, he gave me a butt-jab today too. The world is evil.

I rewarded myself with freshly microwaved popcorn and surfed the internet for recipes. I'm thinking of picking up cooking as my new hobby. Need a new hobby. I'm getting bored of reading. Yes, I'm actually bored of reading. I've been doing it since I was three years old, after all. Cooking seems to be a pretty interesting, useful, practical hobby to pick up. But see first. I don't have a stove in my apartment, and the kitchen at the house is a strange room I rarely enter....

Ate dinner with Kak Mi. Read The Edge by Catherine Coulter. Fun. Then Tariq SMS-ed me and I headed back to the apartment, but it turns out he couldn't stay because he wanted to work, and I couldn't wait because I got to wake up in the morning, and I just generally miss him and I hate missing him and I think that I could write paragraphs about it so I'll just stop now.

My play is done! Performed!

And it turned out as expected. I am satisfied. It is over and I never have to deal with it again. Thank you to Fabian and Yu San who provided vehicle and moral support.

Yu San said play was sweet and nice. Anita, the student department lady, said I was a cute Evil Mother.

After play, Yu San and I escaped from the miserable Hawaiian Week and went to pester Fabian at his house. His dog barked at us. His female cat scratched him when he caught it so Yu San and I could play with it. We finished his birthday cake. Very delicious. We drank his Pepsi and ate his biscuits. We used his toilet. And we played Cashflow, and we beat him at it. Yu San won, actually. With my help. We were generally a nuisance to him. But Fabian being Fabian, was just wonderful. So we thank Fabian for a wonderful afternoon.

After that, I went back to my house and exercised. I sweated like crazy, but for the first time I could give it extra zest instead of just trying to keep up with the video. Haha, I'm getting healthy!

I went back to the apartment, slept, showered, and was about to go back home for dinner when parents called from New York! Mommy is letting me join a self-help book club! Yay, I can buy lots of new self-help books. I am a fan of self-help and self-improvement books. Not that I follow them very much, but they make me feel like I'm attempting to improve.

Then I went home for dinner. Had chicken rice. Chicken rice didn't have much chicken. Was still hungry. Took Afiq's fried rice, which he didn't eat anyway. Kak Mi took all the onions and I took all the carrots and corn.

Then went to Novel House with Kak Mi and returned all rental books. I got RM30, which I have to make last the rest of the week. Anyone want to provide me free meals? I'm willing to work, or you might just want my company. I'm good company.

After that, we went to San Francisco Coffee where Kak Mi bought me some extremely chocolate frappucino that was just heaven. I have decided that I am now a San Francisco Coffee fan. We also had a lasagna, and with purchase of lasagna we got free spaghetti bolognese, which we packed for my lunch tomorrow. Haha. I love free food.

Then I hung out with Tina while she packed for her trip to Singapore. Then I went back to the apartment. That's the end of my day.

Today I have no class. So I woke up late. I had an essay due. So I handed it in.

Then I wallowed in food and internet until TJ came online and I was inspired to visit her and play Cashflow. She won. Then her sister won, and I lost. I hate it when beginners win.

Went home just in time for dinner. Played with kitten for a while. Sidji is terrible. She keeps biting. I know she's teething, but damn it! Bite stuff not hands and ankles! The annoying thing is that she knows not to bite the kiddies despite the fact that they chase her down and hit her and all sorts of things. She only bites adults. She broke her leg being stepped on when attacking ankles, and she still keeps doing the same thing. Dumb cat.

I went back to the apartment. Now I'm panicking because tomorrow is the play and I don't have half the props and I don't really wanna do this....

NOSE
by HANI Selamat

My nose is falling off
I can feel it
I can nearly see it
My nose is coming off

Don't tell me otherwise
Such words are all lies
My nose is falling off

My nose hasn't fallen yet
I've been waiting and waiting
It's still there just hanging
My nose hasn't come off yet

I couldn't wait
It got too late
So I cut my own nose off
