Saturday, June 23, 2001 Let's see, today. I woke up at the barbaric hour of eleven a.m. to pick my boyfriend up from his house so he could fool his maid/old nurse that he was going to friday prayers. We had lunch at Pizza Hut in Mega Mall. Tariq refused to eat Hawaiian Chicken and since Chicken BBQ sucks, we had to settle for Pepperoni Delight, which is dull and boring. The male is a pain.
After that we spent several hours at MPH. Tariq finally finished reading Mistress of the Empire by Raymond E. Feist and Janny Wurts. I jumped around lots of books in the self-help section. Nothing outstanding found.
We watched Atlantis at 1 Utama TGV! It was great fun. Finally Disney is making movies that don't concentrate on some great romance again! Though as Yu San said, it is sad that they're not singing anymore.
That's about it on my day. Other than that I blew a lot of money. Lots of money gone today. But it was a good day. Entry made thanks to pitas.com.
Friday, June 22, 2001 I had dinner at Muhibbah tonight. Chinese restaurant. Yum! We had lemon chicken, venison, claypot beancurd and other stuff. I ate up all my rice and had a quarter of daddy's too. I love chinese food.
Yu San, Fabian, Sam, Tariq and I played Cashflow today from 12 to 4. It was fun. Fabian won first. Yu San has the honour of being the first of us to get out of the rat race as a doctor. Of course, it doesn't really count because she didn't have any children. ;)
After that I went to Tariq's house and played Sims. My Sims are doing nicely. They have lots of friends, and in this session, Pixilated got promoted twice. I could have gotten Prince promoted too, but for some reason I wasn't in the mood to let them skip work, so I had to make the Sims do all their skill building during non-work time. That's very slow, of course.
When I finally got home after dinner, I began de-cluttering my computer. God help the computer. It's a mess. Furthermore, it has a sad and pathetic amount of RAM. It drives me crazy. I can't multi-task!! I can barely run my decluttering program!
Yu San has accused me of starting an auction war. I found this Ewan McGregor biography paperback for real cheap one day, and decided to purchase it. Then I decided to auction it to my friends in Malaysia. Then Maybelle, in Australia, started bidding for it too. The people within-Malaysia protested, whereupon Nina, being in Malaysia, agreed to represent Maybelle. Yu San protested it, and is now determined to outbid Maybelle.
I just protest being accused of starting the war. I'm only seeking some money because I want an MPH card, more RAM, a scanner, a digital camera, and the world. ;) It may not be any time soon, but I will get these things. Entry made thanks to pitas.com.
Thursday, June 21, 2001 TARIQ GOT HIS TICKET!! TARIQ GOT HIS TICKET!!
TARIQ'S GOING TO NEW YORK!!!!
Woo hoo!! I also bought a new book! Blew RM57 (US$ 210.90) on it. Took it out of my MPH Card fund. sigh. And I only saved RM75, which means I now only have RM15 in my fund. It's gonna be a looong time before I get my MPH Card. Anyway, the book title is Stop Clutter from Stealing Your Life by Mike Nelson!
Anyone ever been to my room(s)? Or seen my locker(s)? If you have, you'd know that "clutter" is an understatement for me. My dormroom was horrible. I had about ten empty water bottles just lying around on my side, and leftover food hanging around for weeks at a time. At home, I didn't change my bedsheets for months, and I have even tolerated sleeping on period stained sheets. Don't ask me how I do it.
During my moments of sanity, I have cleaned up. (Somewhat.) But more often than not, I go right back to square one. Okay, nothing can beat my days in the dorm, but right now, it's relatively close. Well, not right now, because I've cleaned up a little bit (or rather Daddy did), but during my exams.
So the book's to give me some inspiration, remind me there are others who have conquered the clutter, and in fact, established Clutterers Anonymous, and hopefully, one day, you shall be invited to Hani's clutterless, clean and organized living environment.
Wish me luck! Entry made thanks to pitas.com. |

Climb all mountains. That's my mission statement!
History I was born at the decent hour of 2:34p.m. at Pantai Medical Hospital. From the age of 3 to 6, I attended the kindergarten available for children of students and faculty of Universiti Malaya. My mother was then a lecturer and later the dean of the Law Department or whatever they call their departments there. At the age of 8, we moved to the current house that most of my Malaysian friends know, in Kampung Tunku. Previously, we lived in a house provided by Universiti Malaya, which we had to move out of when Mom left UM to work in Maybank (to the foreigners, that's biggest bank in Malaysia). I lived in Kampung Tunku until the age of sixteen, attending the nearby primary school, and later, the nearest secondary school for girls. Then Mom received the opportunity to work in United Nations. I nearly got sent to boarding school because I was a lazy, undisciplined little teenager, but mother couldn't bear to be apart from her baby girls and took both my bratty younger sister and I with her to New York. There we lived in a nice apartment in the upper east side, and my sister and I attended the United Nations International School. Lovely school. Unfortunately, having come out straight from an all-girls' school, I spent my first and a half years not talking to guys. By the time I finally got comfortable talking to guys, I was graduating. Go figure. After that, I went to New York University. I wanted to go to Sarah Lawrence, but Mommy still didn't want her babies to go far away from her. The parents wouldn't even allow me to apply to anywhere further than that, and the only other place that accepted me was Fordham (to the foreigners, it's nearer to my apartment in New York than NYU is). I was majoring in Film & Television. It was fun. I had a subject that consisted of watching movies. Movies, movies, movies. A year later, my sister got into Princeton (that's the #1 university to my little sister, and you'd better not disagree with her!), and I decided I didn't want to study Film anymore. To save money, Mom finally sent me back home to live with Daddy. So here I am, in my own apartment, with my own computer, my own car, my own cell phone, and my own homepage! I enrolled into Metropolitan College, attempting to get a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University in Australia, and that's as current as you get, and no longer history!
