Phew. What a day.

Yu San and Fabian came to my apartment today. Why? Fabian was tagging along, but Yu San and I had a make-up lesson session! Tariq was there too, but not very happy because he's got hayfever.

Yes, we experimented with Yu San's face, and I taught her a few basics so she can put on some nice make-up for INTIBall. It was fun. But poor Tariq was sneezing and sneezing and sneezing. So I cut the whole hang-out session short and took Tariq to the doctor.

We went to his doctor in Sri Sentosa. Tariq went ahead to submit his name to the doctor while I go pay for parking. But then he calls me and I see him standing in front of 7-11 instead of at his doctors.

So I walk to him, and he points down. I see a plain old box. I kneel down, open it and find three newborn kittens mewling softly. Newborn! Some nasty soul parted these poor babies from their mother before they were weaned! We went to the doctor first. After the doctor visit, we checked on poor kittens. Still there. So we took the whole box and went to some vet.

The vet told us that the SPCA doesn't take animals that haven't been weaned yet, then charged us RM31(US$8.16) for milk formula and kitty bottle. Told us that they were ten days old, so not too badly off, then taught us how to feed kitties. We decided to take them to Tariq's house.

On the way, we named them Siji (or Sidji if old spelling), Loro, and Telu. They mean One, Two, and Three in Javanese. How did we decide which was which? Well, Tariq was the brilliant one. He decided in tales of siblings, the eldest was always the strong and tough one, the middle was the smart and sly one, and the youngest was the small and cute one. So that was how we did it.

Back at Tariq's house, we fed them. We hadn't quite gotten the hang of it yet. It was a battle. Especially with Siji. Stubborn bit. I discovered that Siji and Loro were female while Telu, the smallest and most bullied, is male. Typical, ain't it?

We tried another feeding session three hours later. Loro, being smart, had no problem being fed. Took to the bottle very easily. Siji and Telu refused the bottle, but were obviously hungry, because they would lick the milk of our fingers and palms. Finally, we managed a trick of putting my little finger into their mouths, which they suck, then stuff the bottle into their mouths before they can close 'em.

Tariq and I played One Two Jus (for the unfamiliar, it's like the scissors-paper-stone hand game) and Tariq's stone killed my bird, and now the kittens are in my kitchen, sleeping. I'm not going to be getting much sleep tonight. They're supposed to be fed every three to four hours.

Furthermore, Tariq and I will be leaving on Thursday. Anyone wants to take 'em on for three weeks while we're away? They're very little and cute and so sadly neglected. Their eyes haven't even opened yet.

And today I spent the whole day in my apartment, completely naked. Now the first reaction of most of my friends would be: eewwwwww.

Well too bad. Although a few males out there may be highly interested on the above info though.

Well, back to point. I surfed the net in the morning, read Redemption of Althalus by David and Leigh Eddings in the afternoon, all naked. Left the apartment at nearly 7p.m. to eat dinner at home with family and with boyfriend.

Another boring day.

Though I did also pick out the eight bras I'll be taking to New York with me. :)

Today was very dull. I went to Tariq's house. I played Sims. Both Pixilated and Prince got promoted. I renovated the house so now their bedroom is upstairs. I enlarged the general ground floor and divided the ground floor studio into kitchen/dining room and recreation room. I bought lots of expensive stuff. A burglar came through the back door and stole all sorts of expensive stuff, then kicked up the alarm going through the front door. I put an alarm on the back door. Another burglar came through the back door and the police nabbed him in the bathroom.

Then I went home for dinner. My uncle and a cousin from Kelantan (foreign folks--that's a state in Malaysia) arrived this afternoon. They're staying here indefinitely, according to my uncle.

I went home, tidied up my room a little and actually swept the floor. Very proud of sweeping floor. Called Tariq waaay after twelve a.m. He says, "I'm supposed to call?" Sheesh. Males. Get this. YES. CALL. CALL!!! If you have no reason, CALL ANYWAY!! If you're busy, CALL ANYWAY!! If you forgot, CALL AS SOON AS YOU REMEMBER!! A call every hour is better than no calls. So....

CALL!!!!!

History

I was born at the decent hour of 2:34p.m. at Pantai Medical Hospital. From the age of 3 to 6, I attended the kindergarten available for children of students and faculty of Universiti Malaya. My mother was then a lecturer and later the dean of the Law Department or whatever they call their departments there.

At the age of 8, we moved to the current house that most of my Malaysian friends know, in Kampung Tunku. Previously, we lived in a house provided by Universiti Malaya, which we had to move out of when Mom left UM to work in Maybank (to the foreigners, that's biggest bank in Malaysia). I lived in Kampung Tunku until the age of sixteen, attending the nearby primary school, and later, the nearest secondary school for girls.

Then Mom received the opportunity to work in United Nations. I nearly got sent to boarding school because I was a lazy, undisciplined little teenager, but mother couldn't bear to be apart from her baby girls and took both my bratty younger sister and I with her to New York. There we lived in a nice apartment in the upper east side, and my sister and I attended the United Nations International School. Lovely school. Unfortunately, having come out straight from an all-girls' school, I spent my first and a half years not talking to guys. By the time I finally got comfortable talking to guys, I was graduating. Go figure.

After that, I went to New York University. I wanted to go to Sarah Lawrence, but Mommy still didn't want her babies to go far away from her. The parents wouldn't even allow me to apply to anywhere further than that, and the only other place that accepted me was Fordham (to the foreigners, it's nearer to my apartment in New York than NYU is). I was majoring in Film & Television. It was fun. I had a subject that consisted of watching movies. Movies, movies, movies.

A year later, my sister got into Princeton (that's the #1 university to my little sister, and you'd better not disagree with her!), and I decided I didn't want to study Film anymore. To save money, Mom finally sent me back home to live with Daddy. So here I am, in my own apartment, with my own computer, my own car, my own cell phone, and my own homepage! I enrolled into Metropolitan College, attempting to get a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University in Australia, and that's as current as you get, and no longer history!
